Your stalking guide knows the stalking areas well. He will accompany you throughout the outing to secure your safety and guide you to a successful and challenging stalk. He will make the final decision on what animal to cull. When we are using other sporting providers or estate stalkers, they will clearly explain terms and procedures before any hunting commences.
When planning your hunting trip and stay in Scotland you should plan for several outings to increase your chances of bagging a deer. For guidance only: 2-3 outings for Roe deer
Deer and game are wild creatures and therefore can be unpredictable. Conditions outwith our control, like the weather conditions, can influence or even cancel a day's shooting. So we are unable to guarantee that a hunt will be successful. However, we will do everything possible to secure a successful hunt for you and your party.
We have a professional and ethical approach to culling deer
We work in accordance with UK deer management principles and best practice. Managing the balance between deer population, animal welfare and habitat/crop protection is at the forefront of our Deer Management plans. We have cull plans in place with the aim of harvesting a selective mix of different age groups, sex and species.
Our goal is to fulfil our offer of exciting and challenging stalking opportunities for you, while meeting our cull targets.
Your health and safety is our priority
Here in Scotland, the weather can be somewhat unpredictable. Strong winds, heavy rain, snow and fog can make hunting and stalking unsafe. Environmental or regulatory factors can also cause issues. In these circumstances, we may need to cancel or terminate as a result, in the interest of your safety. We would then aim to re-arrange another date for you.
